Lamb Family & Rising Church Prayer Update

We’re Adopting!!! We are so excited to share this amazing update from our family! Neva and I have been praying for some time now about expanding our family and God has laid it on both of our hearts to adopt. We are working with Bethany Christian Services and are working toward an international adoption from China. We look forward to keeping you updated on this new aspect of our family’s journey and we are grateful for the love, support and prayers you have given us along the way.

Rising Church Updates God continues to move in the life of our church plant and it is exciting to see the different ways God is bringing families and individuals into our congregation. The picture above is from our worship gathering this past Sunday. Christian helped Neva lead worship and even led out on a couple of songs. I love that our boys are invested and excited to be a part of church planting. Another much anticipated event in the life of our church plant is rapidly approaching. We are in the process of sending Matt & Shelby Meyer out as missionaries with the International Mission Board to Krakow, Poland. The Meyer family has been with us for over a year-and-a-half now and have served Rising Church in significant ways. Please pray for them as they spend this next month traveling to see family and friends and then spend a little over 2 months in training before heading to Poland. We are sad to see them go but also excited to get Rising Church’s first church planting initiative underway. A few other ministry updates:  Women’s Bible Study concluded their study a few weeks ago and is exploring plans for next semester. Men’s prayer group has been meeting for 3 months now and the group continues to grow. Kids Ministry is preparing a Christmas musical to share with our church family on December 11. Student Ministry continues to reach students outside of our congregation and is a vibrant part of our ministry. Please be praying for us in the following ways: Continue to pray for our Sunday morning meeting space as our Kid’s Ministry is at capacity. We are continuing to seek God for new Sunday morning space that will better suit the needs of our congregation. Pray for Matt & Shelby Meyer as we prepare to send them to Krakow, Poland as IMB church planting missionaries. Pray for the lost in Loudoun County. We recently learned that only 4% of our population attends church leaving at least 360,000 people outside of a biblical community and relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray for Jason as he continues to seek God’s direction for our church. A big focus of his right now is determining what it looks like to make disciples who make disciples at Rising Church. Continue to pray for unity within our church body and increased effectiveness in reaching our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Pray for God’s provision for our financial needs as 2016 comes to a close.
