Our church plant was presented with a unique challenge during the month of December 2015: the recreation center where we meet for our weekly worship services was only available 1 of the 4 Sundays. God was not surprised by this scheduling challenge, so we rolled with the punches and discovered what God’s plan for Rising Church was for the Christmas season.

Christmas Brunch

Sunday, December 13 we hosted a Christmas Brunch at our home for our church plant. Hopefully and prayerfully there will be a day in which there are just too many people that are part of our church plant and we won’t be able to do something like this. But, since we are a young church plant this is just one of those fun things that we couldn’t pass up on simply because we are small and agile enough to do it. We broke bread together and had an amazing morning of fellowship that included more food that we could bring ourselves to eat and fun playing basketball and football.

We may not always be able to host our whole church family in our home for a Christmas brunch, but I pray that no matter how many people we become we don’t lose the values of having fun together, sharing meals, quality fellowships with one another, and celebrating Christmas in fun and unique ways.

It’s been an amazing ride these first 2 weeks in December experiencing the story that God is writing in and through Rising Church!
